MADE Hoops policies
Terms of Service
Last updated
These are the rules for using MADE Hoops’ scouting platform: who can have an account, what you may do with the information on it, and what each of us promises. They apply to everyone who visits, and to every member of a program with a plan.
01 Who we are
The MADE Hoops scouting platform (the “platform”) is this website and the scouting information, tools and reports on it. It’s run by MADE Hoops, a grassroots basketball events and scouting company. In these terms, “MADE Hoops”, “we” and “us” mean MADE Sports LLC, and “you” means anyone who uses the platform.

02 Accepting these terms
By using the platform, whether you’re looking at the public pages or signed in as a member, you agree to these terms. If you use it on behalf of a school, team or other organization, you agree for that organization too, and you confirm that you’re allowed to.
If your organization has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement wins wherever the two differ. If you don’t agree to these terms, please don’t use the platform.
Our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Data Policy explain how we handle information. Please read them too.
03 What the platform is
The platform is a scouting service for college and professional basketball programs. It holds profiles of high school and college players: MADE Hoops’ own ratings, rankings, scouting reports and intel, along with rosters, statistics and transfer portal information for men’s Division I.
- Visitors can see limited previews of some pages. Full player profiles are for members.
- Members see what their organization’s plan includes. Our pricing page lists what comes with each plan.
We may add, change or retire features at any time, and the platform may sometimes be unavailable, for example while we update it.
04 Accounts
Accounts are by invitation only. There’s no public sign-up: you ask for access through our request form, we check who’s asking, and our team sets up each account. Accounts are for coaches and staff of programs we can verify, who are at least 18 years old.
- Your login stays inside your program. You may share it with other members of your program’s staff, but never with anyone outside it, including other programs, players and their families, agents and recruiting services. You’re responsible for everything done with your login, and for everyone you share it with following these terms.
- Keep it secure. Keep your password within your staff, and tell us straight away if you think someone outside it has used your account.
- Accurate details. Keep the details we hold about you up to date. You can’t edit them yourself yet, so ask us through the contact form and we’ll change them.
We may turn down a request for access, and we may suspend or close an account as described under Suspension and termination.
05 Plans and payment
Plans are yearly subscriptions at three levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum, each including everything in the one below it. We don’t publish prices. A MADE Hoops representative quotes them, and the platform itself doesn’t take payments.
Payment and cancellation. [how plans are billed, and what cancelling does]
Your quote or invoice sets out what your organization has bought and for how long. We may change what each plan includes over time; the pricing page always shows the current lists.
06 Acceptable use
Use the platform only for your own program’s scouting and recruiting, and only in ways the law allows. In particular, don’t:
- copy information in bulk with scrapers, bots, crawlers, scripts or any other automated means, or download more than the exports your plan offers;
- share your login with, or pass on what you see on the platform to, anyone outside your program’s staff;
- publish, sell, license or give away information from the platform, including to other schools, recruiting or scouting services, agents or the media;
- use information from the platform to build or improve another product or database, or to train an artificial intelligence or machine learning model;
- try to get around a plan’s limits, a preview or any security measure, or reach any part of the platform you haven’t been given access to;
- probe, overload or disrupt the platform, or upload anything harmful to it;
- use the platform to harass, intimidate or embarrass anyone, least of all a player or a player’s family; or
- break any law, or anyone’s rights, in using it.
Exports. Members can download some lists, such as rankings and transfer lists, as spreadsheet (CSV) files. They’re for use inside your program, under these same rules.
07 Recruiting rules
Your responsibility
Recruiting rules, including when, how and how often you may contact a prospect, are yours to follow. Nothing on the platform is permission to contact anyone.
Recruiting is governed by rules from the NCAA, the NAIA, the NJCAA, state high school associations and others. They cover who you may contact, when, how and how often, and they apply to you and your program.
Following them is your responsibility and your program’s, not MADE Hoops’. We don’t monitor how members contact players, and we can’t advise you on what the rules allow. Use the platform only in ways your governing rules permit, and never use it to contact a player, a player’s family or a coach in a way those rules forbid.
08 Our content and your license
The platform belongs to MADE Hoops. That includes its software and design, our ratings, rankings, scouting reports, intel and notes, and the way we gather, select and arrange the information on it.
Some content belongs to others, such as college statistics from our data provider, school and team logos, and photos that belong to schools. Their owners keep their rights in it.
Your license. While your plan is active, we give you a limited license to view and use the platform’s content for your program’s internal scouting and recruiting, under these terms. It’s personal to you, can’t be transferred or sublicensed, and ends when your access ends. We keep every right we don’t expressly give you.
Ideas you send us. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely, without paying or crediting you.
09 Player information
The platform is about real people, most of them high school students under 18. Treat what you learn about them with care.
- Opinions, not facts. Ratings, rankings, scouting reports and fit scores are our scouts’ judgments and our estimates at a point in time. They aren’t statements of fact, and they don’t predict or guarantee anything.
- Accuracy. Player information comes from many sources, and some of it is reported by players and families or goes out of date quickly. Check anything important before you rely on it.
- Changes and removals. We may correct, hide or remove any profile, report or other content at any time, including when a player or parent asks us to.
Our Data Policy explains where player information comes from, how our evaluations are made and who can see what. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the contact form, choosing Player profile correction.
10 Other websites
The platform links to other websites, including our social media accounts and the main MADE Hoops website. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or how they handle information. Their own terms and policies apply when you visit them.
11 Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the platform accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties about the platform beyond those in these terms, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In particular, we don’t promise that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, that its information is complete, accurate or current, or that using it will lead to any recruiting result.
12 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- MADE Hoops isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or recruiting opportunities, arising out of or related to the platform or these terms, even if we were told such a loss was possible; and
- our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the platform or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount your organization paid us for the platform in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim, or US$100.
Some places don’t allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
13 Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against MADE Hoops because you or your program used the platform in breach of these terms or the law (for example, by passing on information from it, scraping it, or contacting a player against recruiting rules), you agree to cover the losses and reasonable costs we incur as a result, including reasonable legal fees.
14 Suspension and termination
You can stop using the platform at any time. To close your account, ask us through the contact form. What happens to your plan’s fees is set by your quote or invoice.
We may suspend or close an account, or end an organization’s access, if we reasonably believe it has broken these terms (for example, by sharing a login outside the program or scraping information), if a plan isn’t paid, if the account holder no longer works for the program, or if we need to for security or legal reasons. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you first.
When your access ends, your license ends with it: stop using the platform’s content and delete any exports you’ve kept. The parts of these terms that by their nature should last beyond that, including those on our content, player information, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and disputes, continue to apply.
15 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we’ll put a notice on the platform and email members before it takes effect. If you keep using the platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
16 Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing state], without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
If a dispute comes up, please contact us first, and we’ll try in good faith to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we can’t, the dispute will be decided only by the state or federal courts located in [county and state], and you and we agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
17 General terms
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the policies they mention and any separate written agreement with your organization, are the whole agreement between you and us about the platform.
- Severability. If a court decides that part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we don’t enforce part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Assignment. You can’t transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
- Events beyond our control. Neither of us is responsible for a delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.
